Peer review of NCSX Vacuum Vessel Structural Design


Charge:

1.	Are the loading conditions to be imposed on the vessel, including 
cyclic loadings, well defined?
2.	Are the stress and deflection limits defined?
3.	Are the stresses and deflections, including fatigue effects, within 
the limits?
4.	Is the vessel robust against buckling for the load cases to be 
considered?
5.	Does the vessel operate safely over the whole temperature range?
6.	Are there adequate margins to allow for variations in loading, weld 
efficiency, etc.
