Neumeyer Subject: RE: New Von Roll Website Contact Form Submission Wayne The insulation used on the original PF1A coils [which are being planned for use on NCSX] was CTD-112P which is a cryogenic insulation produced by CTD corp. The new PF1A coils were fabricated with the Fusa-Fab material which is not a cryogenic insulation. The current supplier (Von Roll / Isola) was not familiar with any testing. In fact, he says that Fusa Fab uses a polyester resin whereas Fusa Flex uses an epoxy resin. Do you folks have any data on this issue? Wayne ________________________________ From: Tom.Wacker@vonroll.com [mailto:Tom.Wacker@vonroll.com] Sent: Wednesday, December 07, 2005 5:11 PM To: Wayne T. Fusa Fab is our trademark for some B Stage polyester resin treated glass fabrics. We also produce a tape called Fusa Flex which is a modified epoxy B Stage on a woven glass/polyester. I am not familiar with any testing of those items at that temperature but can check our files. If you have any other questions or would like to discuss feel free to email direct or call at 518 344-7143.
