Please review and comment as appropriate: _____________________ A meeting was held on Thursday, February 21st, to discuss the status of the preparations for the NCSX CDR for WBS 2, Heating Systems. Present were Henry Kugel, Wayne Reiersen, and Bob Simmons. The following items and actions were discussed: (1) Henry reviewed his WBS 2 status in some depth. (See attached). It was agreed that Henry would: a. Talk to Tom Brown and Lew Morris on the layout of the platform, NB orientation, and how platform height might impact the location of the TMP's. b. Henry would talk to Dave Johnson to review his thoughts on re-using PBX-M diagnostics. It was Bob's recollection that this was not a successful strategy for NSTX. c. Henry would have Lew Morris review his NB port concepts in 3D. As part of the discussion, it was stressed that PRO-E would be the Project's standard since all the models are in 3D. 2D drawings created in Vectorworks and other programs need to be converted to 3D. d. Wayne would clarify with Hutch that only minimal effort (for the CDR) will be expended in looking at accommodating future upgrades, although a ROM estimate would be needed by the CDR. Once this is clarified, Henry will revise his WBS 2 estimate to reflect the revised guidance. e. Henry will follow-up with Art Brooks on the fringe field simulations. (2) Based on the discussions, it was agreed that the following target dates will be used: a. Henry input any changes to the WBS 2 Dictionary by Thursday, February 28th. Wayne will revise the WBS with the guidance concerning upgrades as appropriate. b. Henry will finalize the interface with the NBI port by Thursday, February 28th. c. Henry will finalize his design by Friday, March 8th d. Henry will provide his cost and schedule input by Friday, March 15th e. Henry will provide his ROM cost estimate for upgrades by Monday, April 1st. ________________ Comments? Bob S.
