The following notes reflect the discussions and agreements reached at this meeting: (1) Dave reviewed the recent discussions and agreements reached over the last several weeks on diagnostics (e.g., physics meetings and interface meetings with other WBS Managers). He indicated that he had reached agreement with Gary Oliaro on the WBS3/WBS 5 scope relative to the "non-standard" digitizers for diagnostics => will be in WBS 3. He also indicated that the phasing scheme and diagnostic compliment for phases 1-3 has been revised slightly as a result of these meetings. Specifically, he indicated that a movable Langmuir Probe and 2 neutral particle gauges would be added to the ohmic phase. Offsetting these additions would be the deferral of central temperature measurements from the TEC => will be added as an upgrade. (2) WBS Dictionary - it was agreed that the WBS Dictionary would only focus on the 2 digit WBS level for the overall purpose of each diagnostic type (e.g., magnetic diagnostics, profile diagnostics, etc.) and not on the specific diagnostic. However, this information would be needed for the costing document. Dave will provide both and Wayne may include the details in italics in the WBS Dictionary. Dave will decide whether or not to assign 3 or 4 digit WBS elements to each specific diagnostic. (3) It was agreed that the highest priority was to define the port allocations and requirements. Dave needs confirmation of the design concept that will be followed. Once this decision is made, he needs sectional views. His main issues are auxiliary port needs, divertor region diagnostic space, and possibility of having some feedthroughs not utilize port space. He also needs a concept drawing on the seal concepts. (4) Based on these discussions, the following dates were agreed to: (a) Dave to update the WBS Dictionary by March 1st (b) Wayne, et al, to confirm the port configuration issue/concept by March 1st (c) Wayne, et al, to provide views and seal concepts to Dave by March 8th (d) Dave to provide cost and schedule inputs by March 22nd (e) Dave to provide PDD/CDR Report inputs by April 4th (f) Dave to provide ROM costs for upgrades by April 18th ___________________ Comments?
