Vacuum Vessel Peer Review, Thursday 4/8 at 9:30
Wayne, This
got scheduled for Thursday (in the former C-site power supply time slot) because
of the Good Friday holiday next week. I will be away on travel that day,
but so be it. John has agreed to chair the review. Hutch

Thursday 4/8 at 9:30
There will be a peer review of three Vacuum
Vessel product-related documents next Thursday, April 8, at 9:30. It
will probably last about 2 hours.
PPPL participants will meet in the
Engineering Conference Room and will call the ORNL conference room at
865-241-1255. Presentation material will be shared via NetMeeting.
Unless otherwise instructed.
The three documents being reviewed
are:
- VVSA statement of work (SOW)
- VVSA product specification, including drawings and
models
- PVVS evaluation plan
Chair: John Schmidt
RLM: Wayne Reiersen
Cog (for
SOW): Mike Viola
Cog (for Spec and PVVS Plan): Paul
Goranson
Reviewers: Phil Heitzenroeder, Frank Malinowski, Mike
Cole, Larry Dudek
Charge
- Is the VVSA SOW suitable for the production contract?
Of particular importance is the degree of PPPL control over the supplier’s
process: Is the entire MIT/QA plan PPPL-approved or just specified hold
points and inspections? Also, the extent and frequency of formal
reporting required.
- Is the product spec consistent with the design-to
requirements?
- Does the product spec provide an adequate technical
basis for manufacture?
