There will be a Final Design Review of the NCSX modular coil Type C cladding design tomorrow, April 27, at 11:00 (AM).

 

The cog engineer is Dave Williamson

 

The review chair is Wayne Reiersen

 

The review panel consists of:

Jim Chrzanowski

Mike Cole

Larry Dudek

Steve Raftopoulos

Phil Heitzenroeder

 

The RLM is Brad Nelson

 

The charge for the committee is:

 

Is the mod coil type C cladding ready for fabrication?

Is there an adequate plan to prepare the procurement package for the cladding for the 5 remaining Type C coils (and all A and B coils)?

Is there an adequate method for “posting” the fabrication drawings for in house fabrication?

 

In addition, some other topics will be briefly addressed:

 

What is the status of the SRD? Are there any substantive changes since last November?

What are the remaining issues for mod coil Type C parts?

What is path forward for completing drawings and verifying design of lead block hardware?

What is R&D plan for resolving conductor bending / insulation issues related to jumper / lead lug location on back of casting (ie, 2 inch offset, 1 in offset, 0 inch offset)?
