Service Pack 1 for PowerINSPECT 2.001 has been released. Service Pack 1 is a recommended upgrade for existing installations of PowerINSPECT 2.001. This document describes the differences between the PowerINSPECT 2.001 release and the PowerINSPECT 2.001 Service Pack 1 release.
Service Pack 1 for PowerINSPECT 2.001 has been released. Service Pack 1 is a recommended upgrade for existing installations of PowerINSPECT 2.001. The bugs fixed by applying Service Pack 1 to PowerINSPECT 2.001 are as follows:
The new Probe Database for PowerINSPECT 2.001 did not correctly co-operate with a number of connection protocols for manual inspection devices. This is considered a serious problem as it meant that probes could not be calibrated when using the affected inspection devices. The inability to calibrate probes rendered PowerINSPECT unusable on those inspection devices.
When PowerINSPECT 2.001 was started using a customer licence dcam.key file it displayed a message box stating, "Please renew your code AS SOON AS POSSIBLE : ONLY %d days left to use this license." Accepting the message box allowed the product to be used but the message box gave incorrect information and could cause confusion.
A few connection protocols for PowerINSPECT have an auto-connection feature. Under PowerINSPECT 2.001 this feature gave unexpected or confusing behaviour. Under PowerINSPECT 2.001 Service Pack 1 (and onwards) this feature is disabled.
When calibrating probes for a manual inspection device using PowerINSPECT 2.001's Probe Database Editor, pressing the "Reset" button on the manual calibration dialog did reset the calibration but did not reset the display.
PowerINSPECT 2.001's Probe Database Editor did not display the calibration state of probes on the tree view icon when using fixed or adjustable probe heads.
Under certain circumstances the toolbar associated with the Copy Results macro installed with PowerINSPECT 2.001 would disappear.
See the main description above.
