Service Pack 1 for PowerINSPECT 3.05 has been released. Service
Pack 1 is an upgrade for existing installations of PowerINSPECT 3.05.
The new bug fixes and changes introduced with PowerINSPECT
3.05 Service Pack 1 are as follows:
-
Fixed a bug where including edge points in a free-form-fit would cause
PowerINSPECT to crash.
-
Fixed a bug where using guided plane with curve
digitising no longer worked correctly.
-
Fixed a bug where guided points could get projected onto
the wrong surface.
-
Fixed a bug where uncompensated singles points on the
fly were recorded in the wrong place.
-
Fixed a bug where attempting to create an intersection
between a bounded plane and a curve would lead to a crash.
-
Fixed a bug where attempting to create an intersection
between a line and a cylinder would lead to a crash.
-
Fixed a bug where using the angularity function of
GD&T with a nominal value of zero would give an incorrect result.
-
Fixed a bug where probe offset compensation could be
applied in the wrong direction for probed polygon geometric entities.
-
Fixed a bug where it was no longer possible to export
certain types of point cloud entities to IGES files.
-
Fixed a bug where exporting laser scanned features to
IGES file with "Main Entity" and "Auxiliary Entity" selected would also export
all of the laser scanned points which were used to construct the feature,
leading to a very large file.
-
Fixed a bug where renaming a surface inspection point
entity would cause PowerINSPECT to crash when the session file was saved.
-
Enhanced the auto-recovery functionality so that a crash
during the auto-recovery itself (due to an invalid or corrupt session file, for
example) does not cause the same auto-recovery to be attempted repeatedly.
-
Fixed a bug where the Edit Geometrics mouse context no
longer performed highlighting of the geometric entity in the CAD view.
-
Fixed a bug in the Linear Segmented Error Map
implementation which caused input values for one axis to affect the values of
another axis.
-
Fixed a bug which could cause PowerINSPECT to crash if
the CNC Teach & Learn dialog was opened and closed many times without
closing PowerINSPECT - typically due to normal use over a period of many days
or weeks.
-
A number of connection protocol additions, improvements and bug fixes:
-
Included an update to the version of Perceptron
software used to connect to the Perceptron laser sensor to fix a number of
bugs:
-
Fix for a bug where certain usage conditions could cause
the sensor data to be reported out of synchronisation, leading to loss of
synchronisation with the host inspection device data and incorrect combined
inspection data being reported to PowerINSPECT.
-
Fix for a bug where selecting certain greyscale modes in
the sensor view dialog would cause PowerINSPECT to crash.
-
Fix for a bug where the use of the median filter in the
acquisition parameters would cause PowerINSPECT to crash the next time the
sensor was connected to.
-
Enhancements to the Leica Tracker connection protocol,
including support for CNC "go-to" behaviour.
-
Fixed a problem with the Mitutoyo CNC connection protocol where rotating a CNC
probe head, such as a Renishaw PH9, may cause PowerINSPECT to freeze.
-
Improved support for the CimCore WinRDS implementation
of the probe change sequence tree item.
-
Fixed a bug which prevented the CimCore WinRDS
connection being used with versions of WinRDS with a version number of 3.0 or
higher.
-
Enhancement to the EuroPac connections so that failure
to connect due to the absence of a EuroPac dongle is reported more clearly.
-
Update to the connection protocol for DEVA 004 motion
control card and advanced support of the DEVA 001 counter card.
-
Update to the ActiCM connection protocol.
-
Addition of documentation translated into Italian.
