Summary
Service Pack 1 for PowerINSPECT 4.0 has been released. Service Pack 1
is an upgrade for existing installations of PowerINSPECT 4.0. This document
describes the differences between the PowerINSPECT 4.0 release and the
PowerINSPECT 4.0 Service Pack 1 release.
Description
Service Pack 1 for PowerINSPECT 4.0 has been released. Service Pack 1
is an upgrade for existing installations of PowerINSPECT 4.0.
The bug fixes and changes introduced with PowerINSPECT 4.0
Service Pack 1 are as follows:
-
Fixed a bug where PowerINSPECT would run very slowly if no document was open
and the mouse was over the PowerINSPECT window.
-
Change so that the solution chosen for a measured cylinder is more consistent
when the measured points give multiple valid solutions.
-
Fixed a bug in PowerINSPECT where it would crash when a curve digitised point
cloud that included probe orientation changes was committed.
-
Fixed a bug where PowerINSPECT could crash when opening a previously saved
document containing a probed perpendicular line.
-
Fixed a bug where PowerINSPECT OMV could crash when simulating a CNC probe path
containing intermediate probe path entities.
-
Fixed a bug where PowerINSPECT could crash when the document was closed if
range markers had been used to simulate a CNC sequence.
-
Fixed a bug where PowerINSPECT could crash when a geometric group was deleted
after a CNC simulation of its entities had been performed.
-
Fixed a bug where the CNC simulation would not always take notice of probe head
angle changes.
-
Fixed a bug where Geometry Explorer would position all spheres at 0,0,0,
regardless of their position on the CAD.
-
Fixed a bug where changing an entity's reference plane through graphical
picking could cause PowerINSPECT to crash.
-
Implemented support for inspection device Virtual Cancel in the geometric
multi-measure dialog.
-
Fixed bugs where the user interface for OMV was displayed incorrectly when
the display language is set to Japanese.
-
Fixed a bug where the user interface for the probe database probe builder
was displayed incorrectly when the display language is set to Japanese.
-
Fixed a bug where creating a concentricity entity in PowerINSPECT when the
display language was set to French would cause PowerINSPECT to crash.
-
Fixed a bug where changing the display language after opening and closing a
document would cause PowerINSPECT to crash.
-
Connection protocol updates:
-
ActiCM connection: fixed a bug in the protocol script engine where the probe
change notification event was not always fired.
-
ActiCM connection: updates to the connection to support the latest ActiCM
functionality.
-
COORD3 ARCO connection: addition of new connection for COORD3 CMMs.
-
Leica Tracker connection: fixed a bug which prevented the trailing
I,J,K vector for continuous scanning from being updated.
-
Leica Tracker connection: fixed a bug where the continuous scanning time mode
interval was not being sent to the device.
-
Leica Tracker connection: fixed a bug where the configured target stability
tolerance was not persisted between instances of PowerINSPECT.
-
Leica Tracker connection: added an explicit stop scanning command.
-
Leica Tracker connection: account for device repositioning in CNC moves.
-
Leica Theodolite connection: fixed a bug where homing or locking the tracker
onto a target would sometimes fail.
-
Display translation updates for all languages.
-
Added the standard Japanese HTML Report template (not included in service pack
patch program).
-
Documentation updates (not included in service pack patch program):
-
Updates to the English PowerINSPECT 4.0 Reference Guide.
-
Addition of the Japanese translation of the PowerINSPECT 4.0 Reference Guide.
-
Updates to the English What's New in PowerINSPECT 4.0.
-
Updates to the French translation of What's New in PowerINSPECT 4.0.
-
Addition of the German translation of What's New in PowerINSPECT 4.0.
-
Addition of the Italian translation of What's New in PowerINSPECT 4.0.
