Brown Subject: RE: VVSA3 data Attachments: ABC2points_shell.xls Tom, The attached calculates the clearances from Dave's new clamp envelope (for the 7" clamp with the bolt head protruding) to the OOT points for VVSA3 and to the Shell. The measures are calculated seperately for the each coil type. The step 3 clearance to the shell has dropped slightly from 1.35" to 1.34" while the step 60 clearance to the OOT points drops from 1.53" to 1.40". There is not much wiggle room at step 60 since the clearances at the VV OD (A to Shell) are only 2.00". Also, we don't have as-built data from the Modular Coils folded in yet. Based on what we see in the Type C coils, the bundle height is as much as .125" high in some cases with about 10% of all clamps higher than the originally assumed .060" Art ________________________________ From: Thomas G. Brooks Subject: VVSA3 data Art – I’ve attached a PPT file that summarizes my review of VVSA3 which is the most restrictive of the three VV’s. I would suggest that you work with this data.
