Reiersen Subject: Re: VVSA acceptance and baseline files Mike, I don't believe that Tom has all the final data files yet: * I just got the VVSA3 data yesterday from Mike D. and have not finished with the best fit * The VVSA Spool Piece_2 data that Mike D.sent to Tom were preliminary data that had not been best fit. I'm working with the raw data and should have the rest of the best fit data for Tom this week. Steve At 02:58 PM 10/17/2006, Michael E. We have accepted Major Tools scan but they were self generated without any independent check. Our in house scans represent an independent check. Please provide an acceptance statement of each or all of the VVSA parts. I should remind you that the port 4 and port 12 surfaces are bowed and out of tolerance per the Major Tool scans and associated NCR's and are not part of these scans nor do I plan to have them done unless you require it. I would also ask you to file these files with the other files in your metrology folder since they form the baseline file set for machine assembly. Brooks Subject: VVSA_Spool piece_3 measurement Reports Mike, here are the VVSA_Spool_Piece_3 inspection reports generated from the measurements done here at PPPL. The spool piece was best fit using points from the outer shell , tube and flange inner facing surface(s). The remaining measurement data was not included in the best fit, but did move with the translation matrix. If needed, we can generate additional reports and /or IGES files of any (or all) of the points we measured. Steve Steve Raftopoulos Senior Staff Engineer Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory P.O.
