2/27/07
VV:
Monday, moved VV1 to floor and VV3 on stand.
Today we got 6 more loops installed on VV2 ~20 remaining.

MCWF:
Lift coil and lowered onto flat flange.
It rested on the poloidal break, and two points near the nose. Picture attached
We were able to run a 4-7 thousandths feeler completely around the flange except for the 3 points touching.
Conclusion: the flange is fairly flat except for a few arbitrary points.
lifted the B4 coil and rotated it to check fit to wedge.
Flip wedge.

Put in work order for templates of each flange surface entire area including from ID to OD and feet.

JOHN: TOMORROW (Wednesday 2/28 ):
Fit A1 to wedge. B1 is the first wound coil and is in the oven.  Won't be ready for a couple of weeks.
Fit B4 to A1 for gross check to determine gross interferences. Wednesday/Thursday
Order more tubing for tooling ball holders BUT buy the ID slightly undersize so we can ream them to get a better fit.

UPCOMING (Thursday - ...)
Fit A1 to A2 to determine gross interferences. Thursday/Friday
Measure A1 and A2. Monday...

NEED:
DXF files of flanges
Brown - Provide areas to scan "A" coils - COB Thursday - 90% COMPLETE
Ellis - provide actual monuments and fiducials locations - COB Thursday
Perform scans and install fiducials. Friday
Brooks - provide A1 - A2 actual fit up data - Monday
Perform alignment trials - Next week

Thanks,

Subject: FPA Daily Coordination meeting

Today we held our first FPA daily coordination meeting.
I promise it will be short 10-15 minutes.
1) Brief description of what was accomplished that day
2) Brief description of the plan for the following day - listing any required support

2/26/07
VV:
Today we got 5 more loops installed

MCWF:
Measured B4 coil on stand.
Learned that lower flange fiducials are ~.190 inboard from actual.
Aligned to only one of the 2 flanges "B" flange
"A" flange all out ~0.190" out.
As Steve pulled the tooling ball out, the reading passed through 0.
Now have precise alignment to upper half (~2-4 thousands)
Walking around the part measuring everything on top flange.
Shot extra points around the room to leap frog around part.

TOMORROW (Tuesday 2/27):
Lift coil and lower onto 3 points.
One near each leg and one at the nose.
Remeasure upper flange face to determine any sag.

UPCOMING (Wednesday-...)
Fit B4 to A1 to determine gross interferences. Wednesday/Thursday
Fit A1 to A2 to determine gross interferences. Thursday/Friday
Measure A1 and A2. Monday...
