The attached just provides a simple picture of what the latest trim coil set born of Tom's 72 Coil Set located between the MCWF and the TF. If all coils are used, the net field errors from Modular Coils Assembled to 1.5mm (0.060") tolerance would produce islands less than 2% with coil currents of 13 KAT. Designing the coils for 20 KAT (ie 4 turns at 5 KA) provides additional margin for TF, PF or other field error sources not yet folded in. There are 36 Coils due to splitting the coils that cross the C-C interface, but they would be electrically connected to form 24 independent control circuits. Art
