Mike,

Here are revised budgetary estimates for the Trim Coils with 120 turns of a smaller preinsulated conductor instead of 4 turns of 1/2" conductor. I increased the tooling costs to cover additional clamping.

Trim Coil:

#1 - Tooling = $40K        Each Coil = $8450

#2 - Tooling = $30K        Each Coil = $7575

#3 - Tooling = $50K        Each Coil = $8850

#4 - Tooling = $38K        Each Coil = $8450

Mike,

Here are budgetary estimates for the Trim Coils assuming PPPL would supply copper , insulating materials, and G-11 fillers.

Trim Coil:

#1 - Tooling = $35K        Each Coil = $4150

#2 - Tooling = $26K        Each Coil = $3700

#3 - Tooling = $44K        Each Coil = $4300

#4 - Tooling = $34K        Each Coil = $4000

FYI …. I think for a budgetary estimate we will assume that we can not wind in tension on one side.  There is a 50/50 shot that that an inner straight leg might be made to fit but in my estimate I will assume the more expensive coil.  Attached is more information that might help you.

TF Coil #3 and #4 arrived!
