Coordination Meeting - Central I&C Systems (WBS 5)

A coordination meeting was held on October 25 with Gary Oliaro, Bob Simmons, and Wayne Reiersen.  Three topics were discussed:

Reiersen provided a revised WBS Dictionary.  The elements remained the same.  The descriptions were modified slightly.  The revised WBS also reflects the new guidance that everything required through the Initial Ohmic Phase of operations (Phase 3) should be part of the construction project.  The revised WBS Dictionary for WBS 5 is posted here.

The following agreements were made:

1. The title of this WBS would be simply Central I&C Systems (not CICADA, not Central I&C and Data Acquisition)
2. Reiersen would clarify with Neilson whether everything needed to complete Phase 3 is required to be included in the Construction Project.  This affects mainly the Plasma Control System, which was not previously included in the TEC.
3. Oliaro would rework the WBS Dictionary for WBS 55 - Real Time Control Systems, separating the Power Supply Control from the Plasma Control Systems

The work plan for WBS 5 leading up to the CDR consists of the following steps:

1. Identify facility locations and space requirements for Site Preparation (WBS 61). [Due by 11/21, Action: Oliaro]
2. Work with other WBS managers to identify interfaces and support requirements for CICADA systems. [Due by 1/15, Action: Oliaro]
3. Update the Conceptual Design of Central I&C to be consistent with other changes incorporated since the PVR. [Due by 2/15, Action: Oliaro]
4. Develop cost and schedule inputs for Bob Simmons. [Due by 3/1, Action: Oliaro]
5. Develop system description for inclusion in CDR documentation. [Due by 3/15, Action: Oliaro]
6. Prepare presentation for CDR. [Due by 3/29, Action: Oliaro]
