Summary of NCSX SIT Meeting of Monday, October 20,
2003
Attendees were Schmidt, Strykowsky, Lyon, and
Neilson.
1. Implications of PDR recommendations
Preliminary
assessment is needed for discussion with PPPL management later this week. Input
has been received from Williamson and Goranson.
Priority for this week is to
assess implications for project TEC, completion date, and contingencies.
Further discussions will be arranged. Recommendation to bake VV to 350C
has significant cost implications; risks and benefits need to be reviewed. (Jim,
heads-up to Goranson.)
ACTION: Engineering review recommendations and
identify those it wishes to accept.
2. Update the
PEP
Issues being addressed include revised milestones, VE plan, annual
bottoms-up estimate plan. Risk management language has been resolved.
ACTION: John has lead in updating PEP.
3. Work planning and
authorization
WPs and WAFs for FY-04 are being developed by Ron and Bob.
The goal is to have them in place by the end of October and update status the
first week of November.
