Reiersen Subject: Almost chits Fellows: During my WBS 17 status presentation, yesterday, several points were made and I wish to assure that I noted them. 1. The spacer manipulators should become WBS 173Wbs 173 2. Care should be taken to assure that the finial / radial tie casting joint can transmit the moment required to move reliably on the Lubrite pads. Dots or glue 3. Assess the heat leak associated with the current finial design 4. Determine whether the inboard vapor seal's silicone-like compound remains pliable at 77K. 5. Iterations on the carriage/base design will need the occasional inspection by Art Brooks or other person to assure acceptable EM interactions. 6. Bonding between layers of Trymer 2000/4000 insulation might best be done with dots of adhesive rather than full-face bonding. Full-face bonding might encourage cracking through multiple layers of board. Please modify or add as appropriate. Geoff
