NCSX Procurement Update of 3/17/05

1. MCWF procurement

• The C1 casting was sent out for radiography following weld repairs.  The radiography procedure took longer than expected, but the part should be back at MetalTek by now. If the results are satisfactory, it is expected to ship to Major Tool next week.
  

• Lawton continues to make significant progress on the A pattern. Modeling of the A pattern is nearing completion and modeling of the B pattern is expected to start by early next week.
  

2. VVSA procurement

• Major Tool continues to machine the dies, and have begun fabricating the inspection gages.
  

• Engineering for 120-degree weld fixtures and port extension fixtures continues.
