2. MCWF procurement (Energy Industries of
Ohio)
MCWF summary status:
All 18 castings
have completed foundry operations
4 in active machining operations
7 in
the machining queue
7 shipped to PPPL
Machining operations (Major Tool
and Machine):
A-3
- The A-3 was forecast to
complete 5-axis machining on the U5 over the past weekend. It is in final
handwork and inspection.
- The project’s delivery
milestone is August 16. Forecast to ship to PPPL by the end of
July.
B-1
- The B-1 has begun 3-axis
operations on the Mitsu-40.
- The project’s delivery
milestone is September 20.
B-2 and A-4
- The B-2 is being machined
on the Lucas 40T. It will be next in line for the Mitsu-40.
- The A-4 is being machined
on the Mitsu-30.
- The project’s delivery
milestone is October 24 for A4.
- The project’s delivery
milestone is November 29 for B2, but it is now expected to ship ahead of A4 in
order to complete the first field period as early as possible. Both will
likely meet or beat the project schedule.
The expected delivery sequence for
the next few coils is A-3, B-1, B-2, A-4.
A-5, A-6, B-3, B-4, B-5,
B-6, and C-6
- The A-5, A-6, B-3, B-4,
B-5, B-6, and C-6 are in the queue for machining.
- Machining operations are
performed on the C-6 whenever time and resources
permit.
3. VVSA procurement (Major Tool and
Machine)
- VVSA #2: Final machining
complete. A nonconformance in the position of the support boss is being
evaluated by the project. It is due to ship next week but could be
delayed a few days if the bosses have to be
re-worked.
- VVSA #3: Reworked shell
profile near end flanges, and provided full dimensional scan for
evaluation.
4. TF Assemblies procurement (Everson Tesla,
Incorporated)
- ETI provided a project
schedule reflecting expected wedge material deliveries. Delivery of the first
is forecast to be delayed by 9 weeks, but third coil only by 2 weeks. We
will work with ETI to improve the schedule toward the contract delivery
dates.
