I think we decided the following at our meeting this morning:

 

1. Let’s see what voltage standoff we can get with minor mods to the existing kickless cable.  Geoff to send ORNL one end of the cable for us to fiddle with, and he will fiddle with the other end

2. I will take our end to Paul Fisher of the Southwire project for advice

3. I will get the part number from McMaster Carr for the heat shrinkable Teflon sleeving

4. I will talk to Jan Christianson about higher voltage applications from Flexcable

5. I will ask Paul Goranson to look at convection-only cooling of cables

 

We will shoot for 15 kV pole to pole, but 7.5 kV may be enough

 

We all think about turn to turn testing of coils.  We will convene another meeting that includes Al Von Halle, Charlie Neumeyer, Raki, and Bob Wooley no later than the end of next week.
