Wayne, Brad, and
Mike:
Summary of Meeting on NCSX Coil Services,
3/22/07
1. Electrical leads
- Fogarty’s drawing of the
lugs and the clamp that supports the twisted hex-bundle off the MC shell
appears to be a reasonable basis for costing purposes.
- Scope of the MIE
project:
- Design of the full
upgrade system
- Implementation of all
leads from the terminals to an accessible point outside the MC shell.
- From that point to the
outside world, implement only what is required for the CD-4
configuration.
- P. Goranson is the job
manager, responsible for generating the estimate for the ETC update.
Initial input is due April 2.
- P. Fogarty will provide
design support.
2. LN2 distribution system
- Goranson’s drawing appears
to be headed in the right direction. A schematic is needed that shows the
parts count and shows where the hard tubing ends and flexible stainless hose
begins. Requested modifications:
- System is closed loop.
- No flow meters.
- Consider using an orifice
solution instead of flow control valves.
- Consider one header per
half period.
- P. Goranson is the job
manager, responsible for generating the estimate for the ETC update.
Initial input is due April 2.
- G. Gettelfinger is
responsible for setting the functional requirements for the
system.
This is what I remembered. Please let me know if
there are any corrections or additions.
Thanks.
