Summary of NCSX System Integration Team (SIT) Meeting of May 27, 2008

1. NCSX Closeout Plan

We discussed a planning document, "Path Forward for NCSX," outlining proposed closeout and follow-on activities, following guidance provided by Ray Fonck. A number of improvements were suggested.  Going forward, we need to strengthen the justification for the proposed activities, quantify their costs, and quantify their value.

Assignments:
-  Integration of the planning document, incorporate inputs from the meeting and other- Neilson

-  MIE activities to be completed (document items 1a. and 1b.)
Determine what work to continue, what to cancel. Rej, Neilson, Strykowsky

Cost estimates: Rej, Strykowsky  (Issue: where would we draw the line if limited to currently approved TEC ($92.4M)?)
Risk reduction value: Neilson

Design value (progress toward design completion): Strykowsky

- Document/publish contributions to fusion engineering knowledge (Item 1c.): Neilson, Zarnstorff, Heitzenroeder, Dudek

-  Secure hardware assets (Item 1d):  Perry nominated.
