Mike, managed to test your cu brazed assemblies numbered: 2A-2B, 3A-3B and 4A-4B. The results are as follows:

2A-2B 0.710"x 0.955" failed in parent metal @17907 lbs.
3A-3B 0.707"x 0.955" failed in braze joint @16290 lbs.
4A-4B 0.702"x 0.960" failed in braze joint @16590 lbs.

The samples are here and packaged, you can pick them at your convenience.
