Subject: Growler Test
Mike,
Here are the results
of our attempt to determine the sensitivty of our Growler;
With twelve turns of
insulated lead wire wrapped around the secondary-
Volts across 12
turns
current
resistance across one turn
750
V
.226
amps
open
750 .244
60 ohms
750
.232
90
750
.227
150
750
.224
1000
With one additional
turn added-
Volts across 12
turns
current
resistance across one turn
750 .221
open
750
.242
60
With twelve turns of
actual coil in Growler plus one additional turn of insulated lead
wire-
Volts across 12
turns
current
resistance across one turn
750
V
.275
amps
open
2
.278
dead short
750
.268 60
750
.267
90
Our concern is that
on the 12 turns of insulated wire the current increased from open to a 60 ohm
short but on the actual coil the current decreased from open to a 60 ohm
short.
