All strain gauges returned to the nominal zero's after warm up. The 600 A current pulse was did not produce any discerable thermocouple temperature rise and only resulted in strains of 20 to 40 uE. The attached .ppt files provide an overview of the Twisted Racetrack coil's strain gauge/thermocouple instrumentation's configuration and SG/TC data archived during the 08/26/05 coil test. File: NCSX_TRC_Coiltest_Instrum.ppt contains configuration information. File: NCSX TRC_ SG_TC Test data-082605.ppt has the test data including: -Sample Copper, G11, and SS cold strain results. -Calibration data. -Cool down and Warm up data. -Shot data for 118085 and 118087, 600A pulses.
