Wayne,

Attached are four memos which need to be posted.  Below are brief descriptions of their purpose.  I reference the memo name in the chit resolution box as well.  When Fred is done checking he will have to electronically sign the cover sheet

“Effects of Coil Support Concepts on TF WP Stresses" Len Myatt 5/16/05

Evaluates .5Tesla operation with the addition of out of plane loads to satisfy PDR Chit #32

Modification of coil model to add fixed vertical supports

“Stress Analysis of the TF Coil Terminal Design with Lead Spurs” Len Myatt 5/25/05

Final analysis of redesigned lead assembly

“Reaction Forces on MCWF from TF-Induced Loads” Len Myatt 6/2/05

Determines loads on MCWF and Coil Support Structure to provide input for Structures Design

“Stress Analysis of the 3x4 Slip-Plane TF Coil with Cast SS Wedges” Len Myatt 3/7/05

Evaluates TF Coil assembly stresses with and without adhesion to wedge casting

Updates analysis with front preload as opposed to preloading back leg of coil

Evaluates “Honeycomb” issue. Looks at stresses in the winding pack due to contraction of conductor at LN2 Temps. when there is an assumption of no adhesion to the coil insulation
