Analysis

Vacuum Vessel. Preliminary design tasks (shell geometry, closure joint, SRD) are already behind the re-baselined schedule. Impact to the PDR preparations need to be verified. (Job 1201 Sheet 2/16).

Action: Paul, can you verify the forecast dates shown? They're based upon linkages that may not be valid. The more important question is are there potential impacts to the PDR that are/are not shown?

Conventional Coils. Preliminary design analyses, SRD/SDD, interface control documents, cost/schedule estimates, falling behind schedule. (Job 1301 Sheet 4/16).

Action: Mike Kalish, considering your involvement on NSTX what must be done (ie additional help) to get back on schedule toward the PDR?  If I'm not properly representing what you feel is the current schedule please let me know.

MC Vendor Prototypes. Fabrication release slipped from 7/22 to 8/13. Decoupled from impacting the PDR but how will this impact the FDR? Will delivery slip from Mar 04 to Apr 04? (Job 1404 Sheet 7/16)

Action: Phil, What is your current forecast of when we'll release for prototype fab?

MC Winding R&D. Keystoning R&D, racetrack test coil, and twisted racetrack coil slipped by 1 month. How does this impact the prelim design/PDR prep? (Jobs 1406 & 7 Sheet 8/16) Autoclave fabrication on hold pending decision of orientation (i.e. where will the coils be wound)? Schedule slipped by 2 months. No apparent impact to the PDR.

Action: Wayne/Mike Williams decision on winding facility

Field Period Assembly. planning (job 1801 sheet 10/16) Work scope being transferred to ORNL under Jim's supervision. When is this going to happen? No progress is being made and the clock's ticking.

Action:Wayne/Brad?
