The Office of Science (SC) Independent Project Review (IPR) will be conducted on June 8-9, 2004, at PPPL. It will be organized by the SC Construction Management Support Division, responding to a charge from the Office of Fusion Energy Sciences.

The purpose of this independent review is to evaluate the project's readiness for proceeding with long-lead procurement and fabrication. The results of the review will subsequently help SC evaluate the readiness of NCSX for Critical Decision 3 (CD-3), Approve Start of Fabrication.
